The Croman Family

Terry Croman was diagnosed with T Cell Leukemia in September 2014. Originally from the small town of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Terry and Beth decided to come to MD Anderson for Terry to receive a stem cell transplant. Before coming to Halo House, Terry and Beth stayed at a motel near the hospital as well as a trailer park where they rented a unit. “We feel much safer at Halo House” they said. During the Houston Rodeo, the cost of where they were living tripled for three weeks. What the Croman’s loved the most about Halo House was the “safety and peaceful environment.” For them, “Halo House was a “God Send.” After his stem cell transplant, Terry was on a strict diet. The Croman’s felt fortunate to have their own kitchen in the apartment in order to cook special meals. Jokingly, the only thing Beth said she would change is adding “a margarita machine in the kitchen!”
