Meet our volunteer groups!
Unite & Inspire
"Our Mission is to unite and inspire children, youth, and adults to volunteer and give back
to the communities in need by sharing resources to cultivate their growth as civic-
minded responsible global citizens."
Unite & Inspire volunteers visit Halo house every first Saturday of the month to serve lunch for our residents. They provide a wide variety of different cuisines and cultures when they come!
Paws for Therapy
"Paws for Therapy is a group of volunteers in the Houston area who enjoy sharing our trained Therapy Dogs with those in need of love and comfort."
Paws for Therapy volunteers visit Halo House every third Wednesday of the month. Their sweet therapy dogs Bailey, Pickett and Zoey always bring comfort, love and joy to our residents!
Meet our volunteers!
Angels of Destiny
"Angels of Destiny is a nonprofit ministry located in the Houston, TX area. AOD was created to be a blessing to our ill neighbors locally and throughout the USA. We make and give ribbon angels to people who are battling life-altering illnesses. The angels are prayed over before we distribute them."
The Angels of Destiny served dinner for our residents, delivered hand-written cards and hand-made angels, and donated sweets!
"Our employees are involved in a wide variety of community programs worldwide, many of which are coordinated by employees who volunteer their time and expertise at the local level."
Schlumberger volunteers completed two large projects at Halo House. They helped relandscape our beautiful gardens, packed our new residents bags, organized our storage areas and tended to miscellaneous maintenance needs.
"Our mission is to alleviate hunger and reduce waste in Houston by rescuing perfectly edible surplus food, and delivering it directly to local charities."
Every Monday, Second Servings volunteers deliver a variety of fresh, delicious produce, pastries, perishables and prepared meals for our residents to enjoy free of charge!
"Medical Bridges collects medical donations from the US and redistributes these supplies to healthcare workers across nations."
When residents leave Halo House, they sometimes donate their unused and unwanted medical supplies. When we have a surplus, Medical Bridges staff and volunteers take these supplies and donate it to countries in need!
